Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead

Very sad to announce the death of one of, if not, my favorite actor of all time, Philip Seymour Hoffman. Reports coming out of New York say he was found in the bathroom of his West Village apartment in Manhattan. New York City police and the NY Medical Examiners office will determine the exact cause of death but rumors report that it was an apparent drug overdose. As recently as May 2013, Hoffman checked himself into a rehab facility because he stated he had begun snorting heroin.

His legacy will be remembered for his work, not his addiction. The magnitude and the number of people he inspired will live on forever, through his work – myself included.

Celebrate his life’s work through his IMDB page. Read his quotes, watch his movies and live through his characters. There were very few actors with his skill-set and believability. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000450/

One of my favorite quotes from the actor epitomizing true professionalism from a character actor, true to his craft… “Sometimes it’s hard to say no. Ultimately, if you stick to your guns, you have the career that you want. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good payday and I’ll do films for fun. But ultimately my main goal is to do good work. If it doesn’t pay well, so be it.”

The Academy Award winning actor was only 46 years old.

RIP Sandy Lyle. We will miss you dearly. pshoff
